Reservation requests cannot be processed without a completed form. If MacQueen's confirms my request as submitted, I agree to have MacQueen's pre-authorize and charge the credit card submitted to pay applicable cancellation fees if scheduled services are cancelled after confirmation of the service, or up to the full published transfer fee plus delay fees plus HST if I fail to be present for pickup at the specified location, date and time of my reservation. I understand cash payment is the preferred local form of payment and should be delivered to the designated driver at the start of my service.
DEPOSIT: A personal credit card guarantee is required to confirm your booking request. If your request is confirmed as submitted, your credit card will be stored in a vault. It will only be used in the event your booking is cancelled or you fail to present per schedule at the designated location after confirmation (no-show or delay).
FINAL PAYMENT: Payment for confirmed services is accepted in cash. Payment must be negotiated in full locally in cash with the driver assigned to your service before the service is delivered.
CONFIRMATION: Shuttle and transfer requests are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to availability at the time of booking. If your request can be fulfilled as submitted, MacQueen's will respond via return email with a written confirmation for the service. If an alternative date or time is necessary, that option will be presented to travelers for consideration prior to proceeding to confirm alternative arrangements. No payments will be processed or accepted until the day of the service, with the exception of cancellation penalties.
CANCELLATION: Our summer season on Prince Edward Island is relatively short, and cancelled bookings impact our operation. To avoid cancellation penalties, avoid reserving services before your travel is confirmed. If visiting PEI, consider cancellation insurance to protect your travel investment from unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, weather, illness, injury or changes to your travel schedule. CANCELLATION PENALTIES, by notice given prior to the service start date: 31 or more days: 25% of total service + HST 15 to 30 days: 50% of total service + HST 8 to 14 days: 75% of total service + HST 7 or fewer days: 100% of total service + HST Cancellation refers to full or partial cancellation of services, including requests for date, time slot or vehicle changes. Applicable advance cancellation penalties will be applied to your credit card upon confirmation of your written cancellation request in our system, or upon no-show for the service. Email all adjustment and cancellation requests to info@macqueens.com and rentals@macqueens.com, and your modification or cancellation confirmation will be issued once received in writing.
CONDITIONS: MacQueen's Bike Shop and Island Tours assumes no responsibility, however caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from acts of God, detention, annoyance, terrorism, thefts, pilferage, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, strikes, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, discrepancies or change in transit or accommodation services over which we have no control, or other financial loss arising out of certain risks and dangers which may occur during your holiday. Our contract is for the transfer of bikes, passengers and baggage only. The traveler agrees to be present at the designated pickup point for loading a minimum of 15 minutes prior to departure. Local cash payments are preferred and should be presented to your driver on initiation of the service. Client delays are assessed a $50.00 + HST per hour supplement and must be notified in advance to MacQueen's. Drivers will wait up to 30 minutes at designated pickup locations, after which shuttle plus 30 minute delay charges plus HST may be processed in full on the client credit card, and passengers will be considered no-show, releasing the driver to return to their point of origin.
