SUBMITTING A VIDEO RECORDING FOR AUDITION
As part of the pre-screening process, you are required to submit a video recording of your playing, totalling 5–10 minutes combined
Please read these instructions carefully to ensure your submission meets all requirements.
TENOR SAX/CLARINET SUBMISSIONS CLOSE MIDNIGHT, 4 OCTOBER 2026
Tenor Saxophone
- Three or more contrasting works, etudes, balads, or standard orchestral/band excerpts demonstrating a variety of styles.
- Recordings may have a backing track if desired but the Saxophone or Clarinet must be present in the mix.
- At least one work to demonstrate the ability to improvise or solo over a chord progression.
- At least one work to demonstrate the ability to perform on Clarinet as a double in a jazz style if available.
Applicants are encouraged to select music that demonstrates their strengths and breadth of musicianship.
Instructions for sending audition recordings as electronic files:
Recordings will only be accepted if they meet the following conditions:
- The files should be in MP4 (preferred) or MOV format.
- Server limits to 1GB per submission - if your combined files exceed this please create separate submissions or reduce the size of your videos - prioritise sound quality over image quality.
- Please ensure that each round of excerpts is clearly titled as
- SURNAME-GIVEN-INSTRUMENT-(title if separate files)
Upload all the recording files through the files upload feature on this form only
Please note that we WILL NOT accept any video files sent as email attachments, or as links to youtube channels.
Recording Conditions
- All submissions must be video recordings.
- Use studio-quality audio equipment where possible; external microphones are recommended as mobile phone micropones may distort.
- Please check playback quality before submission.
- Confirm that your recording is unedited and represents your true performance.
- Recordings may be combined into one final file or sent as separate files.

- Cover Letter: List your chosen works/excerpts in the order performed.

- Sheet Music: copies of all music performed
