Join the CRANE Circle

CRANE is a large scale work of public art on the historic gantry crane at Hunters Point Shipyard, produced by Shipyard Trust for the Arts. We are in the final stretch of closing the budget gap, and gifts from people who care about Shioyard history and the crane make all the difference.

A gift is a choice on top of a ticket, not instead of one. Tickets to the live performances at Building 101 on October 16 and 17 start at $10 for neighbors and $25 to stand, with seats at $50 and $75.

Every member of the Crane Circle is named on the CRANE web pages. Gifts of $5,000 and above are welcome at our partner levels, with recognition to match: please write to barbara@shipyardtrust.org and we will talk. Also contact us for other ways to donate.

Seats, if you would like them. Please tell us how many tickets you would like to receive for your gift and we'll send them to you. Up to two seats with a gift under $1,000, and up to four from $1,000. We want to make sure seats will be used - no show tickets take away an opportuity from someone else who would have wanted to come.

Area 1 is the preferred area, it is where the choir performs on Saturday, and the live video feed from the crane is projected on the adjacent building wall.

Area 2 is right at the edge of the fence and gives th eost sweeping view over the shipyard

Standing tickets will allow you to move about, see the crane from different vantage point, and visit artist studios until the last minute.

About your acknowledgment. Seats are valued at $75 (area 1), 50 (area 2), or 25 (standing) each. Seat costs will be deducted  from your contribution acknowledgement. If you take no seat, the whole amount is a contribution. Your letter will say so.
