  • HELP, I'M NOT OKAY — MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT, DISCLOSURE & TERMS
    1. Nature of the Coaching Relationship
Help, I'm Not Okay ("the Program") is a faith-based life-coaching and personal-growth membership led by John Fowler, a Certified Life Coach. The Program is coaching, not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. John Fowler is not a licensed physician, therapist, licensed professional counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist, and the Program does not provide medical treatment, mental-health diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or emergency or crisis intervention of any kind. Coaching is a collaborative process intended to support personal growth, encouragement, and accountability. It is not a substitute for care from a licensed mental-health or medical professional, and Members are encouraged to maintain any existing relationships with such professionals while participating in the Program.

    2. Faith-Based Approach
The Program is explicitly Christian and Scripture-based. Coaching conversations, weekly messages, challenges, and group discussions will draw on Christian teaching and biblical principles. By joining, the Member acknowledges and accepts this faith-based framework as central to the Program.

    3. How Members and the Coach Communicate
Membership includes a weekly Scripture-based message, personalized text-message check-ins during the week, a weekly challenge, a Friday reflection prompt, and a Friday group video call ("Zoom") debrief. Text messages, other electronic communications, and video calls are convenient but are not fully secure or private communication channels, and neither John Fowler nor the Program can guarantee the confidentiality or security of any message or call. Group Zoom sessions involve other Members; while all participants are asked to keep what is shared confidential, the Program cannot guarantee that any participant will do so.

    4. Emergencies and Crisis Situations
The Program is not equipped to respond to emergencies or crises and does not provide 24/7 monitoring of Member communications. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, severe emotional distress, or a mental-health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Members agree that neither John Fowler nor the Program is responsible for monitoring, detecting, or responding to a crisis in real time.

    5. Privacy and Confidentiality
Information a Member shares is used to personalize coaching and is not knowingly shared outside the Program except with the Member's consent, as reasonably necessary to operate the Program, or where disclosure is required by law or believed necessary to prevent serious harm.

    6. Membership Fees and Billing
New members receive their first month free. You will not be charged during this free month. If you do not cancel before the free month ends, your membership will automatically begin billing at an introductory rate of $12.95 per month for the following six (6) months, after which billing automatically continues at $19.95 per month unless cancelled. Membership renews automatically and the Member's payment method will be charged until cancelled. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice for future billing cycles.

    7. Cancellation and Refunds
Members may cancel at any time. Cancelling during the first free month means you will not be charged at all. Outside the free month, cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period; no partial-month refunds are provided for the then-current period, and no refunds are provided for past billing periods already rendered.

    8. Member Responsibilities
The Member remains fully responsible for their own decisions, actions, and well-being at all times. No specific outcome is promised or guaranteed. The Member agrees to seek appropriately licensed professional help for any matter outside the scope of life coaching.

    9. Scope and Limitations of Coaching
Coaching may touch on subjects including anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, and other personal struggles, but only as general encouragement, accountability, and faith-based support — never as diagnosis or treatment of any medical or mental-health condition. John Fowler may recommend a Member seek licensed professional care and may pause or decline continued coaching on a particular topic.

    10. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
The Member voluntarily assumes all risk associated with participating in the Program. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Member releases and holds harmless John Fowler, Help, I'm Not Okay, and its associated staff, coaches, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising out of participation in the Program, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

    11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia.

    12. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. This Agreement, together with the Program's stated pricing, constitutes the entire agreement between the Member and John Fowler / Help, I'm Not Okay.
