• Explore and Create: Printmaking for Kids

  • Sign up for our new after school art program this fall – create and explore using printmaking techniques! Participants will learn basic printmaking techniques to express themselves through zine-making, games, and collaborative poster creation.

    These classes are FREE with food and refreshments provided. Presto Tickets are available upon request.

    About the Facilitator: Pardis Pahlavanlu is an artist and illustrator living in Toronto. In her workshops, Pardis aims to make art-marking accessible to all, allowing room for imagination and play to take place. She meets people where they are at and offers various approaches for teaching printmaking, collaging, and other mediums. Her goal is that participants walk away with pride in their learning capacities and an eagerness to learn more, in whatever that may be.

    • The participant and their parents, heirs, executors, estate trustees with or without a Will, administrators, successors and assigns do hereby release, waive, forever discharge, hold and save harmless, and agree to indemnify Art Starts and its respective officers, consultants, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, shareholders, successors and assigns of this organization from any and all claims, demands, damages both direct and indirect, costs, expenses, actions and cause of actions, whether in law or equity. Art Starts will not be held responsible in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to person or property, howsoever caused arising or to arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by reason of, or in any way connected with or arising from participating in the program. This is including but not limited to the activities outlined in this Consent/Registration form and notwithstanding that same claims, demands, damages both direct and indirect, costs, expenses, actions and cause of actions, whether in law or equity, may have been contributed to, or occasioned by, the negligence of Art Starts.

      As a condition of being allowed to participate, I confirm that I am in good physical and mental health. I agree that intentional behaviour that puts myself or others at physical or emotional risk will result in immediate dismissal from the program at the discretion of Art Starts. Expenses incurred because of the program dismissal will be the responsibility for the participant/parent/guardian.

      ASSUMPTION OF RISKS: I understand and acknowledge that participation in the program may involve activities that may cause injury. I consent to my participation in the program activities voluntarily and I assume the full risk of any injuries (including death), damage or loss which I may sustain as a result of participating in this program.

      I give consent to participate in this program to provide any necessary first aid or emergency medical treatment being given or provided. I hereby give Art Starts /ACSA permission to act on my behalf in case of any emergency.
