Ear Art Studio
General Studio Policies
Registration & Enrollment
Registration is required before beginning lessons. A $25 annual enrollment fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. This fee is paid once per school year.
Lesson placement is based on availability, age, experience level, and the appropriate instructional setting.
Tuition & Payment
Tuition is based on weekly instruction and is billed monthly unless otherwise specified.
Tuition is due according to the payment schedule selected at registration. A student’s lesson time is reserved specifically for them, so tuition is due regardless of whether a student attends a scheduled lesson.
Tuition does not decrease for missed lessons, vacations, or holidays.
Attendance & Cancellations
Consistent attendance is important for student progress.
For private lessons, students/parents should provide at least 24 hours' notice when they need to cancel or reschedule. When appropriate, a makeup lesson may be offered based on instructor availability.
Missed lessons without adequate notice are considered a no-show and will not be eligible for a makeup lesson or credit.
For group lessons, makeup lessons are generally not available because the lesson is structured around the group schedule.
Instructor Cancellations
If the instructor must cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled or an appropriate credit will be provided.
Practice & Student Responsibility
Students are encouraged to practice consistently between lessons. Regular practice is an important part of developing musical skills and seeing progress.
Students should come prepared with any assigned music, materials, and practice assignments.
Materials & Music
Students may be required to purchase or provide assigned music, books, or other instructional materials. Specific materials will be communicated as needed.
Group Lessons
Group lessons are designed to provide instruction in a collaborative environment while still allowing students individual attention.
Students are expected to be respectful, cooperative, and supportive of other students. The instructor may make adjustments to lesson activities based on the needs and skill levels of the students in the group.
Adult Students
Adult students are responsible for their own registration, tuition payments, attendance, communication, and adherence to studio policies.
Youth Students
Parents/guardians are responsible for registration, tuition payments, ensuring students arrive on time, and communicating with the studio regarding attendance or other concerns.
Arrival & Pickup
Students should arrive on time and be ready for their lesson at the scheduled start time.
Parents/guardians are responsible for timely pickup of minors following their scheduled lesson unless other arrangements have been made with the studio.
Communication
Studio communication will be conducted through the contact information provided during registration. Please notify the studio of any changes to your phone number or email address.
Photos & Videos
From time to time, Ear Art Studio may photograph or record students during lessons, recitals, camps, or studio activities for educational or promotional purposes.
Any use of a student's image will be subject to the photo/video permission selected during registration.
Studio Environment
Ear Art Studio is committed to providing a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment.
Students are expected to treat the instructor, other students, equipment, and studio property with respect.
Policy Changes
Ear Art Studio reserves the right to update studio policies as needed. Families and adult students will be notified of significant policy changes.
Agreement
By registering for lessons, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to follow the Ear Art Studio policies.
