Workshop Sign-up for the 2026 Ormewood Park Makers Festival

Space for 2 to 6 Participants

 

Come make a Travel Journal. In this class you’ll make a 5.5” x 8.5” Japanese Stab Bound journal - the perfect size to put in a bag and carry on your explorations. You’ll be led through the process of constructing a book. You will produce your own journal. Sample completed journals will be available to page through so you can glean ideas of how you can record your travel exoerience.

You will take home a journal as well as instructions to make it again. You’ll also have a list of tips and suggestions for how to use it as a travel journal. This would make a good activity to do with your school-age children whether you’re exploring the place you live or a city in another country.

For ages 16 and up please.

Lillian Bolster is a ceramic artist working out of the Atlanta Clayworks in Atlanta, Ga. She creates hand-built pottery and sculpture that is heavily inspired by nature.  She emphasizes the tactile nature of creating art.
