    Please fill in your details below to secure an instrumental audition time. Please note that if you would like to audition with more than one instrument, you will need to fill in a new form and book a separate audition time.

  • This is audition will enable you to join one or more of the following ensembles:

    BOYS AND GIRLS Premiere Ensembles:

    • Westlake Symphony Orchestra - Premiere 
    • Westlake Chamber Orchestra - Premiere  

    GIRLS-Only Development Ensembles:

    • Silver Keys Flute Choir - Development Flute Ensemble
    • Westlake Girls Symphonic Band - Development Concert Band
    • Volante Strings - Beginner String Ensemble
    • Taharoto Strings - Development String Orchestra

     

    Please note that auditions for the premiere Westlake Concert Band (Boys and Girls) is organised by WBHS. You can book an audition by going to the WBHS Website here. Sign ups for Boys-Only Development Ensembles will open early 2027.

  • String Audition Information

    Auditions for present and future string players will be held on Tuesday 13 October and Thursday 15 October, at the Music Department at Westlake Girls High School. Please book a 10 minute audition time slot below on ONE of the days. Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes before your audition time. You will sign in with our Performing Arts Administrator, Ms Lui, and then warm up before being called into the audition room. Please note that students must audition on their own. Friends and parents will be asked to wait outside.

  • Your 10 minute audition will involve:

    • Playing an excerpt from a set piece of your choice (max. 2 minutes)
    • Sight-reading an excerpt - provided on the day
    • Playing test scales
    • Playing test excerpts

  • Brass Audition Information

    Auditions for present and future brass players will be held on Wednesday 14 October, at the Music Department at Westlake Girls High School. Please book a 10 minute audition time slot below. Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes before your audition time. You will sign in with our Performing Arts Administrator, Ms Lui, and then warm up before being called into the audition room. Please note that students must audition on their own. Friends and parents will be asked to wait outside.

Please note that students must audition on their own. Friends and parents will be asked to wait outside.
