The Houston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in partnership with Kindred Stories invites you to join us for a refreshing and inspiring Audiobook Walk Experience, where movement meets mindfulness, storytelling, voter readiness, and a nonpartisan exploration of banned books.
Participants are invited to enjoy a guided walk while listening to an audiobook by a Black author whose work has been banned or challenged, creating space for reflection, learning, and connection. All pace levels are welcome! Choose the book that speaks to you, press play, and experience literature in a new way as we walk, listen, and reflect together.
Following the walk, join us for a post-walk social at Kindred Stories to continue the conversation and explore the history, impact, and broader conversation surrounding banned and challenged books. Along with receiving pertinent information for the upcoming election in November. Connect with fellow readers, discover new authors and stories, and network in a space dedicated to keeping Black literature and community at the center.
Come walk. Listen. Learn. Connect.
Note: When you buy your audiobooks at Libro.fm, you support a local bookshop with every purchase! Consider creating an account and choose Kindred Stories as your bookstore for your audiobook purchase.
