Heartland Forensic Search & Recovery - HFSAR

Training Requirements
HFSAR training is held on the second Saturday of each month and generally lasts approximately 4–6 hours. Some training sessions may be longer depending on the subject matter and training requirements.

Application and Screening Process
At the end of the application, applicants will be required to sign a waiver. Please read the waiver carefully before signing.

As part of the application process:

1. A HFSAR member will conduct an interview.
2. A local background check will be completed.
3. Following the interview and local background check, the applicant will be required to obtain a FBI fingerprint-based background check at their own expense. The FBI fingerprint check must be completed and the results provided to HFSAR within 30 days after the interview. The applicant is responsible for all costs associated with the FBI fingerprint check.

Membership Dues
Membership dues are $25 and are due upon successful completion of the applicant's probationary period.
