We’re issuing a national call‑out to Black photographers, filmmakers and videographers across the UK to submit work for Black History Month MKL 2026 (Medway & Kent Lens).

This year’s theme is Unapologetically Black — bold, honest, creative and open to your interpretation. Your work can explore identity, joy, resistance, heritage, futurism, community, family, culture, or anything rooted in your lived experience.

All styles are welcome: Photo art • Fine art photography • Journalism • Documentary • Drama • Experimental • Street • Portraiture • Visual essays

This is a family‑friendly exhibition celebrating Black creativity, heritage and community across MedwayArtBox and The Halpern Gallery.

Creative Guidelines
- Photography
- No AI photography permitted.
- All photographs must be framed and ready to hang.
- End of exhibition collection from 1 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday 28th (late collection may incur storage fees)
- Artworks sent via post are welcomed, but we take no responsibility for postage; delivery and collection will still be required as above.
