Stay & Play is child-led, hands-on play outdoors! Children can build, create, explore, imagine, and get messy in our mud kitchen. Each session offers something new to discover, with bubbles to wrap up the fun! Caregivers can connect, play alongside their child, and enjoy quality time outdoors. A Muddy Buddies teacher will be present to support play and provide materials as needed.

Discovery Woods Open Play offers child-led outdoor exploration in a small-group woodland setting. Children can climb, swing, dig, build, create, enjoy mud and sensory play, and engage in imaginative play while connecting with nature.
A Muddy Buddies teacher will be present to support play and provide materials as needed.
Best suited for ages 3–6 with a parent/caregiver. Non-mobile siblings are welcome.

Come explore the magic of birds through playful, hands-on nature adventures! We’ll collect beautiful treasures from the earth, work together to build giant nests from sticks and natural materials, and make simple bird feeders as we learn to notice, appreciate, and care for the birds around us.
Led by Elizabeth from Dandelion Explorers. This session is capped at 12 children and supported by two teachers (Elizabeth and Emily). Parents and caregivers are required to remain on grounds but children can join class independently.

Come slow down and discover the magic hiding in the leaves around us! We’ll become little nature detectives as we gather and examine leaves, explore their colors, shapes, textures, and tiny details, create leaf art, and move like leaves dancing in the wind. Our adventure will end with a beautiful nature crown made from our gathered treasures—a little piece of the season to wear, celebrate, and take home.

Come wander into the magic of fall as we set off on a pumpkin hunt, searching for these little treasures hidden in the woods. The pumpkins will be used for all kinds of creative, messy, and imaginative play. From rolling and stacking to scooping, painting, and exploring what’s inside, we’ll discover just how many ways a pumpkin can be played with! Through our hands and imaginations, we’ll celebrate the beauty, wonder, and simple joy of the harvest season.

Designed for children ages 5–7
Led by Elizabeth from Dandelion Explorers. Three weekly outdoor adventures — fort-building, map & compass treasure hunts, catapults, team challenges, and imaginative nature play. Kids build confidence, friendships, and independence in a safe, small-group setting (class capped at 6 explorers).
Caregivers must stay on the property for the full session, but do not need to join the group— a chance for children to build independence in a safe setting.

This special event is designed for ages 3-7 with a parent/caregiver. We’ll be exploring all things birds through open-ended play and sensory stations set-up in our usual Stay & Play area. Kids will have the chance to paint their own birdhouse to take home, handmade by my 14-year-old nephew, and enjoy lots of bird-themed outdoor fun. One ticket per child.

Join us for Halloween fun with outdoor play and Halloween-themed play stations! We’ll begin in our usual Stay & Play area before heading out to Discovery Woods, where our mud kitchen will get a Halloween makeover for witches’ brews, magical potions, and festive sensory play. One ticket per child.
