LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE

Participant understands that this event involves the exchange, sharing, sampling, and/or consumption of homemade and/or store-bought baked goods and other food items prepared by individuals who are not licensed or inspected commercial food establishments. Participant acknowledges that such items may contain allergens (including but not limited to nuts, dairy eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, and other ingredients), may not carry complete ingredient lists, and may not have been prepared under commercial food-safety conditions. Participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with consuming, handling, or exchanging food at this event, including but not limited to allergic reactions, foodborne illness, and other health-related risks.

Participant hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue the event organizer(s), venue, and any affiliated individuals or organizations from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, illness, injury, or death that may be sustained by Participant as a result of participation in this event, whether caused by the negligence of the released parties or otherwise. Participant further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorneys’ fees, that may be incurred due to participation in this event.

I, the undersigned participant, affirm that I am of the age of 18 years or older, and that I am freely signing this agreement. I certify that I have read this agreement, that I fully understand its content and that this release cannot be modified orally. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract and that I am signing it of my own free will.
