Heritage, Community & Culture: Perspectives from Our Youth
We’re inviting students ages 11–18 who live in the DC metropolitan area to submit artwork for our upcoming exhibition, “Heritage, Community & Culture” that will be hosted in Silver Sping, MD. We are looking for work that showcases your unique artistic voice and clearly connects to our theme. If selected, your artwork will be featured in our public exhibition at Urban Artistry on Saturday, December 5th from 1:30-5:20pm, and will be considered for cash prizes!
About the Exhibition:
Your creative process matters just as much as the artwork you create. On the day of our exhibition, we want to hear about your artwork, learn about your creative process, and understand why you create art. Our jurors will have informal conversations with each selected artist as part of our judging process. One artist from each age division will receive a cash prize based on both the quality of their artwork and their conversation with the jurors.
