Is your workboat ready for 13 December 2026?
For many vessels the transitional period for Workboat Code Edition 3 ends on 13 December 2026. From that date, vessels still certificated under the Brown Code, MGN 280 or Workboat Code Edition 2 must hold a Workboat Code 3 certificate to keep operating. The MCA and Workboat Association have warned that survey slots will run short and unprepared vessels risk being tied up.
The Yacht Designers & Surveyors Association (YDSA) is hosting a final half-day webinar your last opportunity before the deadline to put your questions to the YDSA Certifying Authority team and make sure your vessel, paperwork and crew are ready.
