Big Green Ideas - Bristol Harbour Design Competition

This competition is open to professional, students and emerging talent. You don’t need formal design qualifications to enter. Entrants must be aged 16 or over. Individuals or teams are welcome to enter, with one submission permitted per entrant or team.

The competition opens on 14 September 2026 and closes at midnight on 1 November 2026. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Wednesday 11 November in the afternoon session of BRAZEN. Please save the date if you would like to attend, more details to follow.

There will be three winning designs, one for each location. The winning designs will be featured in Bristol BID’s published Green and Blue Vision.

Each location winner will also receive a £500 Love Bristol Gift Card.

One submission is permitted per entrant or team, so choose the location that speaks to you most and put your best ideas forward.

Please submit a short written concept statement of no more than 300 words.

Please submit an A1 design board (portrait or landscape) outlining your concept and key visualisations (these can be sketches, diagrams or similar). Boards should be submitted as a single PDF file (max 20mb)
