• HHE Online Registration

  • WELCOME!

We’re so glad you’re here! This registration will walk you through everything you need to join Heritage Home Educators at the level of involvement that works best for your family. We’re looking forward to another year of fellowship, encouragement, learning, and fun together.

Each HHE family must complete both annual HHE registration and Google Workspace (G Suite) access for registration to be complete. Access to your HHE email account is essential, as this is one of the primary ways we communicate important information about Activity Day, field trips, planned and spontaneous activities, schedule changes, and cancellations. Please make a habit of checking your HHE email regularly so your family doesn’t miss out!

Annual registration is due by Family Night in August to avoid a late fee. This deadline does not apply to new families joining or trying HHE after the school year has begun.

    To complete your registration:

    1. Read the important HHE statements and information included in this registration.
    2. Select the membership option that best fits your family. If participating in Activity Day, complete the required Activity Day information.
    3. Both the registrant and their spouse must read and sign the Statement of Faith.
    4. Complete the HHE Serving Opportunity Form.
    5. Submit your registration and payment securely online. Families who prefer to register by mail may submit the completed registration materials and a check payable to Heritage Home Educators using the mailing instructions provided.

Don’t miss out on the fun—stay connected, stay informed, and we look forward to another great year with you!

  • HHE Serving Opportunities

HHE functions as a co-op, our members all serve in one or more non-teaching and teaching capacities. A list of serving opportunities follows the Registration and Statement of Faith forms. Please consider which areas line up well with your God-given skills, abilities, and interests, then circle the three where you would most like to serve.

  • HHE Membership Fee

Membership Fee will remain at $25.00 per family. This provides you G Suite access to email communication within the group, field trip opportunities, standardized testing, and graduation.

  • Activity Day

Activity Day will meet on the second Friday of each month, September through May, at New Journey Church, 209 N. 3rd Street, Knoxville.

The maximum regular registration cost for HHE membership and Activity Day is $75 per family, unless a late registration fee or graduation participation fee applies. Registrations received late will be $100 per family.

    One-time commitment for the year:

Online HHE directory updates. This responsibility will be to type the contact directory and post it to G Suite for the current school year. This may need to be updated one more time in the school year as we get new families. This is a good option for a new family that is looking to serve, as you will receive all the information you need.

    Ongoing commitment for the year:

    • Maintain HHE website:This responsibility will be to maintain the HHE website.
    • GSuite facilitator : This responsibility will be to maintain G Suite, facilitate the use of GSuite communication forum, and provide necessary training to HHE members.
    • Maintain supply cabinet: Stock the cabinet for the coming years Activity Day, HHE events, and any special events. Clean and organize the supply cabinet periodically throughout the year and clean out the cabinet at the end of the year.
    • Activity Day cleaning scheduler: Make and post a cleaning checklist, assign each family enrolled in AD to the cleaning schedule for September – May, and then communicate the schedule via G Suite and Activity Day announcements.
    • Activity Day opening facilitator: Opening session exists to provide an opportunity for our upperclassmen to develop leadership and public speaking skills. Facilitator will work with these students to plan and execute the opening session. This includes, but is not limited to, worship, devotional, announcements, memory verses, etc.
    • Activity Day snack coordinator: Coordinator will purchase and distribute snacks at AD accordingly each month. (HHE will purchase/reimburse coordinator)

    Committees for the year:

    • Monthly Field Trips: The responsibility will be to plan and facilitate monthly field trips for the year, to input the events on the calendar, and communicate via the G Suite forum.
    • Summer Picnics: The responsibility will be to coordinate the agenda with the leadership team and to communicate picnic dates, time, and topic through G Suite.
    • Yearbook for the current school year – Coordinator: Organize, direct, and execute each aspect of the yearbook project. Organize picture day.
    • Photography: The responsibility will be to work with the book designer to take pictures for all Activity Days, Field Trips, Family Nights, the Drama Production, Testing, Valentine’s Day Cookies, Summer Picnics, and any other HHE events planned.
    • Book Designer: The responsibility will be to work with the photographer to create the photo book (for the current school year).
    • Communicate in G Suite to get a list of interested families. All people on this committee will be responsible to ensure that money is collected and books are delivered to the families.
    • Valentine’s Day Cookies: The coordinator will assign the number of cookies for each baker and number of batches for each frosting maker, schedule bakers/frosting makers to drop off cookies/frosting to be in the coordinator’s possession by Jan.2026 ( Activity Day), freezes the cookies/frosting in preparation for February’s Activity Day, coordinates decoration times with teachers and oversees decorating during the February Activity Day. The recipe for the cookies and frosting is on GSuite. Keep in mind cookie and frosting recipes will need to be doubled.
    • HHE Family Events: The responsibility of the coordinator will be to contact the people that are planning the family nights and to keep an open line of communication in case they need assistance; you will also need to make sure they are communicating on GSuite. For the people that are coordinating the specific family night (Christmas Caroling, Gym Night, and Project Fair) you will need to meet with your fellow team member (if available), discuss and plan the assigned family event, reserve the location (if necessary), send out communication through the G Suite forum, and keep an open line of communication with your coordinator.
  • Please choose the top three serving opportunities you would be interested in serving. This does not guarantee you will be assigned to those specific tasks; this just gives the leadership team an idea where you would like to go and can choose based on the need. If the leadership team needs to place you somewhere you have not selected, they will meet with you and discuss this before placing you in another area.

There are one-time and ongoing serving opportunities as well as committee’s that you may pick from, depending on your commitment and interest level. If you would like a brief description of a certain task, please reference the next page.

For returning families who would like to serve in the same area as they have in the past: the leadership team will put you back in the serving area if you choose the option again. Please make sure you select it as one of your serving opportunities so that the leadership team knows. This gives you a chance to try something new if you so choose.

For new families who are unsure where to sign-up, please look for the asterisk (*); these options are great for a first time family.

If you still are unsure, check the box for "Place me where needed".
