In 2021, we lost a dear friend and Lillard Fly Fishing Expeditions co-founder, Charlie Parr. Since LFFE's first summer, Charlie had dreamed of starting a nonprofit to raise money for scholarships and conservation projects.
The LFFCF team believes that the summer camp experience is life-changing. We've witnessed it over a decade of running trips for teens and we -every one of us- had our lives changed by summer camp growing up.
We think that experience should be available to every teenager.
The Charlie Parr Memorial Scholarship is a need-based scholarship to help make LFFE programs accessible to participants from all financial backgrounds. Awards are determined on a sliding scale based on household income relative to federal poverty guidelines, and range from partial to full program cost coverage.
Before you begin, please have the following ready:
- Your most recent federal tax return (Form 1040, pages 1–2)
- Total household size, including all persons supported by household income
A few things to know:
- This application should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
- All financial information is kept strictly confidential and is reviewed only by LFFCF's scholarship committee.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee an award. Applicants will be notified of decisions by 4/1.
- If you are unable to provide tax documentation, please complete the form and explain your circumstances in the space provided — we will follow up with you directly.
