    Important Information to Note:

    • All perspective members of the IHFD are subject to a background check as required by Hood County. 
    • All members of IHFD are subject to random drug testing at the discretion of department administration and/or Hood County. 
    • Applications are reviewed, and applicants are then boarded: this is a verbal interview conducted prior to monthly business meetings. Pending the results of your background check and interview, a vote will be conducted to place you on probationary status.

  • Are you 18 years of age or older?*
  • Do you understand that applicants will be required to consent to a background check? Personal information will be obtained to facilitate a background check at a later date.*
  • Do you consent to random drug screens which may be conducted at any time at the discretion of IHFD and/or Hood County?*
  • Are you willing to participate in a medical check required of potential volunteer firefighters?*
  • Are you willing and able to retain and wear an emergency pager and respond to emergencies? *
  • Are you willing and able to participate in the weekly trainings and occasional weekend events and trainings?*
