Pitru Paksha, is a period of 15 days during which the people pay respect and homage to their ancestors.

According to religious beliefs, the Shradh performed on these days pleases the
souls of ancestors in the family. If the death anniversary of ancestors is not known
or forgotten, then those Shradh’s can also be performed on this Tithi. That's why
Amavasya Shradh is also known as Sarva Pitru Amavasya. By performing Tarpan,
Shradh and Pind daan on this day, the ancestors will be happy and bless the family.
The last day of Pitru Paksha is known as Sarvapitri Amavasya or Mahalaya
Amavasya. Mahalaya Amavasya is the most significant day of Pitru Paksha.
Priest and all Pooja items will be provided by the Mandir.
