Leadership Steuben Program 2027

The Leadership Steuben Program is offered by the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce. This program provides an experiential learning curriculum specifically designed for individuals committed to enhancing their skills and knowledge in preparation for key leadership roles in both their professional and personal lives. Participants are selected and approved by the Chamber based on their abilities, leadership potential, community involvement, and willingness to dedicate the necessary time and energy to complete the program. Additionally, candidates should have the full support of the corporation or organization they represent. It is recommended that each participant be assigned an organizational mentor to help guide and reinforce the curriculum. All mentors will be invited to attend the program's orientation. All applications are due by Friday, November 20th. Classes start on January 20th, 2027 and take place every other Wednesday, 9 AM -- 12:00 PM in the Triangle Lounge on Corning Community College's Main Campus. Commencement is June 9, 2027.

Sponsor and Supervisor Information

Nominations for the Leadership Steuben Program require the support and commitment of the sponsoring business or organization, given the time involved. The leader of the sponsoring organization must support the nominee's participation in the program. If the applicant's supervisor is not the same person sponsoring or ensuring payment of the program, that information is also required. It would be beneficial for the applicant's leadership mentor also to be listed on the application.

The tuition fee for the Leadership Steuben Program is: $750 for Chamber Members and $1100 for Non-Members. Non-refundable payment may be any combination of personal contribution or employer reimbursement. Payment may be made by check or credit card. Please make all payments payable to: The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce.

·       No refunds will be allowed after acceptance into the program

·       No substitutions will be allowed after the second class

·       No more than two excused absences/missed classes shall be allowed
