Performer Agreement, Liability Waiver & Media Release
Thank you for participating in Carnal Combat & Control. This agreement applies to all performers, professional dominants, wrestlers, models, content creators, vendors participating in demonstrations, and anyone performing or working at the event.
By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following terms.
Eligibility
I certify that I am at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into this agreement.
I understand this is an adult-oriented event, and all performers must be legal adults participating voluntarily.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participating in Carnal Combat & Control involves inherent risks associated with athletic activity, wrestling, demonstrations, BDSM education, modeling, photography, videography, livestreaming, audience interaction, and other physical performances.
These risks include, but are not limited to, bruises, strains, sprains, cuts, falls, muscle soreness, accidental contact, equipment failure, dehydration, illness, emotional distress, and other foreseeable or unforeseeable injuries.
I voluntarily choose to participate despite these risks.
Fitness to Participate
I certify that I am physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of participating in the activities I choose to perform.
I accept responsibility for monitoring my own health, medications, hydration, injuries, physical limitations, and personal well-being throughout the event.
I agree not to participate in any activity that I believe is unsafe for me.
Consent and Professional Conduct
Carnal Combat & Control is a consent-based event.
I agree that all physical interaction, demonstrations, wrestling, scenes, photography, filming, customs, and collaborations will occur only with the informed consent of everyone involved.
I agree to respect all negotiated boundaries, safewords, hard limits, and the right of any participant to withdraw consent at any time.
If consent is withdrawn, I agree to stop immediately.
Harassment, coercion, intimidation, discrimination, retaliation, or intentionally violating another person’s boundaries will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund or compensation.
Alcohol and Drug Policy
I agree not to perform while impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs, medication, exhaustion, illness, or any condition that would make my participation unsafe.
The event organizer reserves the right to remove any performer who appears unable to safely participate.
Equipment and Personal Property
I am responsible for the safe use, inspection, and operation of my own equipment, costumes, toys, wrestling gear, props, and personal belongings.
I understand that the event organizer and venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, I voluntarily release and hold harmless Bettie Brickhouse, Carnal Combat & Control, event staff, volunteers, contractors, photographers, videographers, sponsors, vendors, venue ownership, venue staff, and other event participants from claims arising out of my voluntary participation in this event.
This includes claims relating to ordinary negligence, personal injury, illness, property damage, emotional distress, or other losses resulting from participation in the event.
Nothing in this agreement releases liability for conduct that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
Indemnification
I agree to be responsible for my own actions during the event.
If my conduct causes injury, property damage, legal claims, or financial loss to the event, venue, organizer, or another participant, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties to the extent permitted by law.
Photography, Video & Media Release
I understand that photography, videography, livestreaming, interviews, and promotional content may occur throughout the event.
I grant Carnal Combat & Control permission to photograph, film, record, livestream, and otherwise capture my likeness, voice, stage name, and performances.
I grant a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license for the event organizer to use this material for event promotion, advertising, social media, websites, future event marketing, and promotional materials.
Respect for Other Performers’ Content
I agree not to photograph, record, livestream, distribute, or commercially use another performer’s content without their permission.
I understand that customs, recordings, photographs, and collaborations between performers remain subject to the agreements made between those individuals.
Privacy
I agree to respect the privacy of performers, attendees, and staff.
I will not publicly disclose another person’s legal name, personal information, employer, or private identity without their permission.
Compensation
I understand that this agreement does not guarantee bookings, customs, tips, sponsorships, compensation, or future work beyond any separate agreements I have entered into.
Right to Remove Participants
The event organizer reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, non-consensual, discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise inconsistent with the goals of the event.
Removal may occur without refund or compensation.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
If any portion of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that:
I have read this agreement in its entirety.
I understand the risks associated with participating.
I voluntarily agree to these terms.
I understand I am giving up certain legal rights.
I agree to conduct myself professionally and respectfully throughout the event.
I agree to follow all event rules and venue policies.
