Ambler Mountain Works creates thoughtful gear for people who love the outdoors, and we’re looking for an organized, reliable steady hand who brings that same care into how our business runs. If you thrive on keeping moving pieces in order, supporting a small team, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks, you’ll feel right at home here.
Why This Role Matters
You'll be the friendly, responsive human behind the brand that our customers interact with. You'll remove friction, keep operations flowing, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks, enabling the business to grow faster and smoother.
What You’ll Do
Customer Service & Support
- Be the friendly, responsive human behind the brand: handle customer service for orders, issues, and questions
- Own the Ambler inbox and phone: triage and respond to DTC and wholesale inquiries with timely, clear, on-brand communication
- Ship DTC and wholesale orders
- Send invoices and follow up on AR
Logistics & Inventory Coordination
- Track incoming POs and confirm customs documents with freight partners
- Review and support placing factory POs
- Coordinate inbound inventory with factories and our 3PL’s: confirm it's shipped, received, correct, and properly communicated internally
- Ship samples and prep materials as needed
- Flag issues early, before they become expensive surprises
Keeping Things on Track
- Support and maintain seasonal calendars, deadlines, and deliverables
- Support our finance team with month end reports and reconciliations
- Suggest and implement improvements to systems, tools, workflows, and handoffs as you learn the role
Systems Used
- Shopify — DTC
- Blastramp — 3PL, inventory & wholesale
- Xero — Finance
- Google Workspace — email & files
- Quo — Phone
- SPS Commerce — EDI
- Various logistics partner systems
Who You Are
Organized, proactive, great written communication, customer focused, tech-comfortable, and the kind of person who quietly fixes problems before anyone knows they exist.
You don’t need to have summited Everest, but enjoying time outside helps you connect with what Ambler is all about.
Bonus if you’ve worked with logistics, customer service, or operations.
This role is hybrid, but you must be available to work on site in Vancouver several days per week. If you’re seeking a fully remote position, this won’t be the right fit.

If you like meaningful work, small-team energy, and contributing to something that stands for more than just another product on a shelf, you’ll feel at home here.
