Feedback on Regional Council
Next term of Council will see significant changes to the governance structure at the Niagara Region with the Mayor being the only voice for Pelham on Regional Council. Also for the first time, the Regional Chair will be appointed by the Province and have Strong Chair powers. Please provide your feedback on these changes. (3 Questions)
Beginning next term, Regional Council will be made up exclusively of the Region’s 12 mayors, with Regional Councillor positions eliminated and a weighted voting system in place. What are your thoughts on these changes?

Under the new Regional Council governance structure, what concerns, if any, do you have about representation, accountability, or ensuring Pelham's interests can be heard at Regional Council?
Regional property taxes have increased significantly over the past four years. To what extent are you concerned about these increases, and what impact have they had on you or your household? (4 Year increases include 7.6% in 2022, 7.02% in 2023, 9.6% in 2024 and 6.3% in 2025).

Meaningful citizen engagement is essential to effective local government. If elected, I will implement a customer service improvement initiative designed to increase opportunities for residents to connect with the Town and provide feedback on services.
