OFFICIAL TERMS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PURPOSE AND SELECTION
This is a need-based community giveaway and is not intended to be a random drawing or a contest based on social-media popularity.
Applications and nominations will be reviewed based on factors that may include accessibility and mobility needs, driveway safety and condition, project impact, and whether the proposed work is reasonably feasible for B & M Quality Paving LLC.
SELECTION PROCESS
The recipient will be selected by a current U.S. service member and a retired U.S. military veteran. Applications and nominations will be reviewed based on eligibility, accessibility and safety considerations, project impact, and site feasibility. B & M Quality Paving LLC may verify eligibility and project feasibility before the selection is finalized.
ELIGIBILITY
The intended recipient must be a U.S. military veteran and the proposed project must be for a residential property. The veteran must own the property. The veteran must reside in one of B & M Quality Paving LLC's service counties: Highland, Ross, Fayette, Clinton, Pike, Pickaway, Brown, or Adams County. B & M Quality Paving LLC may establish a reasonable geographic service area and may decline a property that is outside that area.
PROJECT SCOPE
The giveaway is for one residential asphalt driveway project of a size and scope determined reasonable by B & M Quality Paving LLC after an on-site inspection. Final work may include normal preparation and asphalt paving as determined by B & M Quality Paving LLC. Extraordinary excavation, retaining walls, utility relocation, major drainage construction, concrete work, permits, engineering, hazardous-material remediation, or other work outside the normal paving scope is not included unless B & M Quality Paving LLC agrees in writing.
SITE FEASIBILITY
Selection is subject to an on-site inspection. B & M Quality Paving LLC may select an alternate recipient if the property cannot safely or reasonably be paved because of access, grade, drainage, utilities, subsurface conditions, legal restrictions, ownership issues, or other conditions outside the company's reasonable control.
NO CASH VALUE / TRANSFER
The project has no cash alternative and may not be sold, assigned, or transferred. The work is intended solely for the selected veteran/property.
APPLICATION INFORMATION AND PRIVACY
Applicants and nominators should provide only information reasonably necessary to evaluate the request. Do not submit Social Security numbers or unredacted military records in the initial application. Finalists may be asked to provide reasonable proof of military service, identity, residency, and home ownership. Information should be used only for administering, verifying, and publicizing the giveaway as permitted by the applicant/recipient.
PUBLICITY AND PHOTOS
B & M Quality Paving LLC may ask the selected recipient for permission to photograph or record the driveway project and share the story on company social media, website, local media, and other advertising or promotional materials. Publicity permission will be obtained from the selected recipient after selection and before photographs, recordings, or the recipient's story are used for advertising or promotional purposes.
DATES AND CHANGES
Published application, selection, announcement, and project dates are targets and may be changed because of weather, material availability, scheduling, verification, or other circumstances. The project may be completed on or around Veterans Day rather than on Veterans Day itself.
