Flynn Stronger Communities Programme Round 10

The Stronger Communities program provides grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 to community organisations and local governments for infrastructure projects that deliver social benefits for local communities. Projects are selected by Members of Parliament and their community consultation committees and are then submitted to the government for assessment.

The application dates referenced within the grant guideline material linked above, are with regard to timelines for the submission of a full application, which follows on from a successful application within this EOI process. The cut off dates for the EOI process allows for sufficient time to be reviewed by a community consultation commitee and for MP nominations to be finalised by 30th November 2026.

EOI's close on 1st November 2026; after which time they will be reviewed by a Community Consultation Committee.

Successful EOI's will be nominated by the MP to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DSR). Successful organisations will be contacted by The Department with a link, via email, to officially apply for a Stronger Communities Grant. This is expected to be from mid to late December 2026 and these must be completed by 19 January 2027.

The Department aims to assess applications and advise of approval in April 2027 for payment by May 2027 (TBC). Grant funding is able to be spent from the date you submit your application, and must be completed by 31 March 2028.
