  • Intro to Community and Relationship as Activism

This workshop introduces dance artists and educators to activism grounded in relationship-building, offering practical tools for organizing, coalition-forming, and community care. The trust and connection dance artists cultivate in their communities is organizing work, not a precursor to it. Using MIDDAY's "keystone artist" framework, it shows how individuals in dance spaces already hold this power, and offers practical tools for deepening those relational networks to confront systemic violence. Participants leave seeing their everyday community-building as sustained, ongoing activism. Please note this workshop will be held virtually. You will receive a confirmation email with a zoom link after completing this registration form.
