หลังจาก Romance พา Fontaines D.C. ขยับจากวงโปรดของนักฟังเพลงสายอินดี้ไปสู่เวทีที่ใหญ่ขึ้นอย่างชัดเจน วงจากดับลินกำลังเปิดบทใหม่ด้วย Dopamine Chamber สตูดิโออัลบั้มชุดที่ 5 ที่มีกำหนดวางจำหน่าย 16 ตุลาคม 2026 ผ่าน XL Recordings โดยได้ James Ford มารับหน้าที่โปรดิวเซอร์อีกครั้ง
ชื่อ Dopamine Chamber อาจฟังดูเหมือนพื้นที่สำหรับหลบหนีเข้าสู่ความสุข แต่สำหรับ Grian Chatten กลับมีความหมายที่ซับซ้อนกว่านั้น เขาเปรียบอัลบั้มชุดนี้เป็น “ห้อง” ที่ผู้ฟังถูกพาเข้าไปพบกับเสียงและอารมณ์หลากหลายรูปแบบ ขณะเดียวกันเพลงเหล่านี้ก็สะท้อนโลกที่ความต้องการความสุขและการหลบหนีเกิดขึ้นท่ามกลางความรู้สึกของความเสื่อมถอยและความไม่แน่นอน

Following Romance, which saw Fontaines D.C. move from indie favourite to bigger stages, the Dublin band are opening a new chapter with Dopamine Chamber, their fifth studio album, out 16 October 2026 via XL Recordings. James Ford returns as producer, following his work on Romance.
The title Dopamine Chamber might suggest a place built for pleasure or escape. For Grian Chatten, though, it points somewhere more complicated — a “room” where listeners are taken through different sounds, moods and emotional states. At the same time, the album looks at a world where the search for pleasure and escape exists alongside a growing sense of decline and uncertainty.
If Romance was an album about love at a time when the world seemed close to its end, Dopamine Chamber looks at another side of that feeling. Chatten describes the new record as an attempt to “reflect ugliness honestly”, without feeling the need to offer hope in return.
Before Dopamine Chamber officially arrives on 16 October, Fontaines D.C. are bringing the album to Thailand early for two listening parties on Thursday, 8 October 2026 — at O’Glee, Ari Soi 1 in Bangkok, and Let It Beer in Khon Kaen.
