The NV CRP Statewide Pitch Competition gives Nevada entrepreneurs and small businesses an opportunity to showcase their businesses, demonstrate capital readiness, and compete for cash prizes and business growth resources.

CHOOSE YOUR COMPETITION CATEGORY

START UP

Less than $10,000

Pre-launch, newly launched, or early-stage businesses actively preparing to launch or establish operations.

STAY UP

$10,000–$99,999

Operating businesses focused on strengthening operations, increasing profitability, building sustainability, overcoming barriers, or preparing for continued growth.

SCALE UP

$100,000+

Operating businesses with demonstrated traction and an identifiable opportunity for expansion or measurable growth.

Revenue thresholds are based on the business's most recently completed fiscal or tax year's gross business revenue. For newer Start Up businesses without a completed fiscal or tax year, revenue generated to date will be used.

Applicants select a category when applying. NV CRP/UCC reserves the right to reassign an applicant to the category that most appropriately reflects the business stage and revenue information provided.

WHAT YOU COULD WIN

One judged winner will be selected in each category: Start Up, Stay Up, and Scale Up.
Category winners will receive a cash prize. Prize amounts will be announced separately.
Category winners will also receive a Business Growth Package of donated professional services, products, and business resources.
A separate People's Choice Award will be part of the competition. Public showcase and voting details will be announced before the voting period.

YOUR 3-MINUTE DIGITAL PITCH

Submit a prerecorded business pitch of no more than 3 minutes. The pitch must be personally delivered by an owner, founder, co-owner, or co-founder of the business.

Professional production is not required and will not be scored. Smartphone and webcam recordings are acceptable. Slides, graphics, product demonstrations, B-roll, and other supporting visuals may be used but are not required.

Your pitch should help judges understand:

Who you are and what your business does.
The problem, need, or market opportunity being addressed.
The product or service offered.
Your target customer or market.
What differentiates your business.
Where your business is today and where you intend to take it.
How prize funding and business resources would be used and what measurable result they would help accomplish.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Own a business based or operating in Nevada.
Be an owner, founder, co-owner, or co-founder of the business and personally deliver the submitted pitch.
Submit only one entry per business and compete in only one category.
Operate a business that is actively operating or actively preparing to launch, as applicable to the competition category.
Submit a complete application and qualifying pitch video by October 25, 2026.
Provide truthful and accurate information and provide verification/documentation if selected as a finalist.
Applicants under 18 must have parent/legal guardian consent.

IMPORTANT VIDEO & PUBLICITY DISCLOSURE

By submitting a pitch video, applicants understand and agree that their submitted video may be publicly displayed, published, streamed, shared, or promoted as part of the NV CRP Statewide Pitch Competition. This may include use on program websites, social media, digital communications, public competition or voting pages, and during the Nevada Capital Readiness Conference & Statewide Pitch Competition.

Submission of a video does not guarantee that the video will be publicly displayed or that the applicant will advance as a finalist. The Nevada Capital Readiness Program may determine which eligible submissions are featured publicly and how they are presented as part of the competition.

Do not include confidential, proprietary, sensitive, or other information in your pitch that you do not wish to make public.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS

Complete the online application and submit your digital pitch by October 25, 2026.
NV CRP/UCC reviews submissions for eligibility, completeness, and category placement.
Eligible pitches are independently evaluated by qualified judges using standardized category-specific scoring criteria.
Three finalists will be selected in each category, for nine finalists total, subject to verification.
Public showcase and People's Choice details will be announced before the voting period.
Finalists will be featured at the Nevada Capital Readiness Conference & Statewide Pitch Competition on December 5, 2026.
