• Pleasures of Beltane Teacher Application

  • Pleasures of Beltane is a Reclaiming witchcamp exploring sexuality, sex magic, queerness, gender, BDSM, ecosexuality, and more! All consensual acts of love and pleasure are our rituals!

    We are planning the fifth Pleasures of Beltane camp to take place May 13-17, 2027 in Yorkville, CA. All teachers and campers are expected to attend the entire event. There will be a maximum of 50 people at camp, including organizers, teachers, and cooks. You must be 18+ years of age to attend and have taken Reclaiming Elements of Magic or equivalent classes.     We are seeking teachers offering paths that explore the intersection of sex and magic: Sex Magic! It is ok if you have never facilitated or priestexed in this realm before, but we are asking that you only propose paths that will explore this intersection and fully engage with both sexuality and the magical arts in equal measure. 

    Campers at Pleasures of Beltane play a fundamental role in a number of camp responsibilities, so teaching at PoB requires less responsibility than at some other witchcamps.  Teachers are responsible for preparing and facilitating their path with their co-teacher. Each path will be co-taught and held over 2 days, for 3 hours each session. Teachers are welcome to volunteer to co-facilitate one of the all-camp rituals, or to be on the ritual arc team, but are not required to. PoB has experienced camper led teams to support attendees emotionally and in situations of conflict, teachers are not expected to take these roles on.

    In exchange, teachers attend camp free of cost and are offered a small stipend based on need and camp finances (minimum $100). Financial support for travel costs to and from camp is also provided if required.

    Please take your time as you wind your way through this form. In addition to learning about you and your path proposal, we also wish to hear from you on a variety of topics such as consent, conflict resolution, and inclusion. We understand that you may not have all the answers to these questions or official "training" in these fields. Your lived experience is very valuable to us. If you have previously attended or taught at Pleasures of Beltane we don't need you to thoroughly answer pages 4-6. Please add any new thoughts you may have, or thoughts specific to being in the role of a teacher. If you have nothing to add you can write "POB 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026."

    PLEASE NOTE:  Pleasures of Beltane is a Covid Cautious event and all participants will be required to take precautions in the week leading up to camp including masking, testing and limiting exposures.

    This form is confidential and will only be shared among the camp organizers. After the form is submitted, we will let you know if you have been selected for an interview with two of the organizers. That will be an opportunity for us to learn more about each other, hopefully ensuring that our collaboration is a good fit!
