What to Expect
*This event has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24.* In our 45-minute Grown-Up & Me Spanish session, little ones will experience the Spanish language with joy and wonder through music, movement, songs, simple games, and activities specially chosen for 3-year-olds. Children must be 3 at the time of the class (no exceptions), and an adult (one adult only, please) must accompany the child at all times during the session. This is a group session, with between 3 and 6 families participating. The class will take place in a classroom where grown-ups and children may be expected to sit on the carpet in a 'floor-time' style class.

What to Expect
Our free Spanish conversation club is open to anyone! Charlee is organizing and leading it. Each participant will be given a set of questions in Spanish with translations in English. Participants will be paired together and seated together. Each pair will have a few minutes to introduce themselves in Spanish and then ask and respond to the listed questions. More advanced speakers are welcome to add their own questions or expand beyond the suggested list. After a few minutes, partners will switch. This "speed dating style" takes the pressure away from having to speak Spanish to a large group, gives everyone a fair turn to speak, and emphasizes repetition so that you can gain more confidence in using Spanish with each change of partners. Participants are welcome to linger and chat in either English or Spanish if they wish after the partner time is complete. Please know this is a low-pressure, fun, and friendly atmosphere where perfection doesn't exist and mistakes are welcome. Please make others feel welcome as well no matter their level of Spanish. What to Expect
We always go big for October's Family Day! This year, we invite you to a family-friendly event here at The Hello House. There will be large pumpkins (approx. 25cm) available for pumpkin-carving and small pumpkins (approx. 8cm) available for painting. (A small fee will cover supplies, but you get a discount if you come in costume!) We will have free games and activities as well! Awards will be given to best kids' costume and best adult costume. All are welcome (any ages!) and we expect a lot of fun! This event will take place inside and outside.
