📍 South Holland Community Center
Our trainings provide families with practical tools, education, and strategies to support healthy development, communication, emotional wellness, and positive decision-making. This training is open to the public, and we welcome all community members to attend.
For our upcoming Peer Pressure Workshop, parents and participants will learn how to recognize both positive and negative peer pressure, make confident decisions, establish healthy boundaries, and navigate challenging social situations.
What We’ll Cover:
Recognizing Peer Pressure: Learn how to identify direct and indirect peer pressure and understand how it can influence choices and behavior.
Positive vs. Negative Influence: Explore the difference between supportive peer relationships and situations that may encourage unhealthy or unsafe decisions.
Making Confident Decisions: Develop strategies for making choices based on personal values, goals, and what feels right.
Setting Boundaries: Learn how to communicate boundaries clearly and respectfully, even when facing pressure from others.
Handling Difficult Situations: Practice ways to respond when faced with challenging social situations or pressure to participate in something uncomfortable.
Building Self-Confidence: Strengthen the confidence needed to speak up, stand firm in personal decisions, and seek support when needed.
This workshop is an opportunity for parents and participants to learn together and build practical skills that can help young people navigate friendships, social situations, and peer relationships with confidence.
We look forward to seeing our MGE families on April 6th at 7:00 PM!
Warmly,
