Our Kitchen, Our Stories: Heritage, Family and Recipes
This opportunity to participate is open to female identifying community members that would like to share food, stories and family traditions. Submissions that are accepted will become part of a cookbook showcasing the recipe, the story and the art celebrating the ways food connects us to our families, our heritage and to one another. Participants will share their recipes and stories on Sunday, October 25th. During this special event, the Art League will host a lecture on food, family and community and provide an opportunity for tasting and storytelling with our selected recipe authors and artists.
We invite you to contribute:
*A treasured family recipe passed down through generations with a story or narrative about the recipe, your family or the role food has played in bringing women together. *Artwork that helps to tell the story of your family, food, culture or tradition. (Artwork is not required for submission of the recipe and narrative. Artwork may also be from a different person. Please note that below)
