I understand that Georgia Career Institute will cease all educational operations at its campus effective October 1, 2026. As a result, the school cannot complete my remaining clock-hour instruction at this facility.

I acknowledge that I have been presented with my options to continue my education, and I hereby voluntarily choose to transfer to (the "Teach-Out Provider" selected below) to complete my remaining clock hours.

Please Note: While the schools listed above have formally entered into teach-out agreements with Georgia Career Institute, students are encouraged to explore all available options and select an institution that best meets their individual educational needs.

Schools not included on this list may also be willing to accept GCI students and honor teach-out terms related to financial arrangements and the acceptance of completed clock hours/credits. However, acceptance of hours, financial arrangements, and any other transfer or teach-out terms are determined by the receiving institution.

For students selecting one of GCI’s formal Teach-Out Partners listed above, the applicable Teach-Out Agreement provides for the following:

The Teach-Out Provider will accept 100% of my earned clock hours and earned credit hours completed in good standing at Georgia Career Institute.
My remaining graduation requirements will be completed at the receiving institution.
I will be placed on a similar schedule at the partner campus, to the best of their ability.

If I select one of GCI’s formal Teach-Out Partners listed above, I understand that the applicable Teach-Out Agreement provides for the following financial terms:

Tuition: I will not be charged more than the contracted tuition agreed upon, calculated at an hourly rate, during my initial enrollment at Georgia Career Institute as listed on my enrollment agreement.
Fees & Materials: The Teach-Out Partner has waived all application and registration fees. I am permitted to use my current books and student kit at the new campus.
Financial Aid: I authorize the financial aid departments of both institutions to coordinate the transfer of my student files. The receiving institution will evaluate my eligibility for Title IV financial aid and determine any financial aid available for my remaining period of enrollment.

If I select one of GCI’s formal Teach-Out Providers listed above, I understand that the applicable Teach-Out Agreement provides for the financial terms listed above

I hereby authorize Georgia Career Institute to release my official academic transcripts, attendance ledgers, progress reports, and financial aid history directly to the "Teach- Out" provider selected above for the purpose of facilitating this enrollment.

1. Georgia Career Institute agrees to execute the following administrative duties on or before the Teach-Out Event:

Provide each transferring student with a certified copy of their official transcript, ledger card, and record of practical operations at zero cost to the student.
Ensure all student academic and financial aid files are cleanly audited and prepared for expedited transfer to the Receiving Institution's financial aid office.
Provide all potentially eligible Teach-Out Students with information about how to obtain a closed school discharge; offical eligibilty can be found at: https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/closed-school
Provide all final transcripts, with verified completed clock hours and credit hours, and final financial ledgers for each signed FERPA release within 14 days of the Teach-Out Event.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have reviewed the information provided regarding my teach-out and transfer options, selected the receiving institution identified above, and authorize Georgia Career Institute to release my educational records to that institution for the purpose of facilitating my transfer and continued enrollment.
