AVA Community Art Center invites local ceramic artists to participate in our beloved Music & Mud event!
Join us on Friday, October 23 from 5–8 PM for an evening celebrating local ceramics, live music, and our creative community. Music & Mud is an opportunity for local potters to share their work with the community and offer handmade, original pieces for sale during our ceramics flash sale.
THE EVENT

The evening will feature a selection of ceramics created by local artists, along with live musical performances from Wyoming artists Quinlan Valdez and Mars Birch.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discover and purchase unique ceramic workswhile enjoying an evening of music, art, and community.
ARTIST PARTICIPATION
AVA welcomes regional ceramic artists and potters to submit handmade, original ceramic works for consideration in the flash sale.
Artists are encouraged to contribute 1–25 artworks, though there is no strict maximum. We encourage artists to consider submitting a variety of work at a range of price points. Music & Mud is designed to make original, handmade ceramics accessible to a wide audience, so we especially encourage artists to include affordable pieces alongside higher-priced works when possible.
Both functional and sculptural ceramics are welcome, including pottery, vessels, decorative objects, small sculptures, and other original ceramic works. AVA staff will review submitted work and reserve the right to determine which artworks will be included in the event. Artists are not required to attend the event.
AVA staff will handle the sales process during the event, allowing artists to participate without needing to be present.
SALES & COMMISSION
Music & Mud operates on a 50/50 commission split:
- Artists receive 50% of the sale price of their artwork.
- The remaining 50% supports AVA Community Art Center and its programming.
- AVA staff will process all sales during the event.
- Commission checks will be issued no later than November 5, 2026, and mailed to the address provided by each participating artist.
By participating, artists help make original ceramics available to the community while supporting the continued work of AVA Community Art Center and its arts programming.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Please confirm your participation with AVA staff by Friday, October 16.
To participate, complete the application form below.
Once you've submitted, AVA staff will review your application and contact you to confirm your participation, and provide additional information regarding dropping off your artworks, pricing, labeling, and other event logistics.
