The OWA's Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday September 27, 2026 (virtual and in-person)
For members who are unable to attend, you may participate by proxy of another member who will attend. Proxies will be used to meet AGM quorum as per OWA Bylaws.
Only OWA members with a Regular membership as defined by OWA Membership policy (above Volunteer level) may attend by proxy.
As outlined in Section 3.17 of the bylaws, voting on matters during the AGM may be conducted by a method determined by the Board, including a show of hands, roll call, or secure live electronic voting. This proxy form applies only to members attending in person or virtually to the live voting portion of the AGM and will be used to vote on routine matters such as approval of minutes, reports, presentations, and bylaws will be conducted by live voting.
This proxy vote does not apply to event bids and Board nominations which will take place via secure online voting from Sept 25-26.
As per OWA By-Laws:
3.15 Proxy Voting – Every Member entitled to vote at a meeting of Members may, by means of a proxy, appoint a proxy holder to attend and vote on behalf of the Member. A proxy must:
Be signed by the Member
Comply with the form as stipulated by the Corporation
Be submitted to the Corporation at least two (2) days prior to the meeting of the Members
3.16 Proxy Limits – A Regular Member is not permitted to cast more than five (5) proxy votes in addition to his or her own vote.
