PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
By signing this agreement, I understand that participation in action sports and use of the facilities at Grind Bike & Skate involve inherent and significant risks of injury, including serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death. This agreement is intended to help everyone understand those risks, follow facility expectations, and participate responsibly while recognizing that certain legal rights are being waived.

1. COVERED ACTIVITIES & FACILITY USE
This agreement applies to any participation in or presence at Grind Bike & Skate, including skateboarding, BMX riding, scootering, rollerblading, rollerskating, spectating, lessons, instruction, memberships, day passes, contests or events, and use of any riding, common, or spectator areas. This agreement applies to all current and future visits to Grind Bike & Skate unless revoked or replaced in writing.

2. ACKNOWLEDGMENT & ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
I understand that action sports activities are inherently dangerous and involve risks that cannot be eliminated. Risks include falls, failed tricks, collisions with riders, spectators, staff, ramps, rails, walls, obstacles, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, skates, or equipment; changing riding conditions; and the actions of other participants. I understand injuries may include cuts, bruises, sprains, broken bones, concussions, spinal injuries, permanent disability, paralysis, or death. I voluntarily choose to participate in or be present at Grind Bike & Skate and assume all risks, whether known or unknown, inherent or otherwise.

3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, I voluntarily release, waive, and discharge Grind Action Sports LLC d/b/a Grind Bike & Skate, including its owners, employees, coaches, instructors, volunteers, contractors, agents, affiliates, and property owners (collectively, the "Released Parties"), from claims for injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from my participation in activities or presence at the facility. I understand that this release applies to participants and spectators and includes risks associated with action sports activities and the conduct of other participants.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to release claims that cannot legally be waived under Virginia law.

I agree to follow all posted rules, safety requirements, and verbal instructions from staff.
I understand and agree that:

· Helmets are required at all times for all riders regardless of age;
· Additional protective equipment is recommended but not required;
· I am responsible for inspecting and maintaining my own bicycle, skateboard, scooter, skates, helmet, and protective equipment;
· I will not participate while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or any substance affecting safe judgment or physical ability.
Failure to comply with facility rules or staff instructions may result in removal from the facility without refund.

For the safety of everyone in the facility, Grind Bike & Skate reserves the right to deny entry, suspend privileges, revoke memberships, or remove any participant or spectator from the facility without refund for unsafe behavior, rule violations, intoxication, vaping or smoking in prohibited areas, harassment, fighting, threatening conduct, property damage, reckless behavior, or any conduct staff reasonably determine to be unsafe or disruptive.

Participants under 14 years of age must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times while at the facility. Participants ages 14–17 may participate without a parent or guardian remaining on-site, provided a parent or guardian has completed this agreement and remains responsible for the minor participant. A parent or guardian must arrange pickup of minor participants no later than thirty (30) minutes before facility closing time, unless otherwise approved by staff.

In the event of illness or injury requiring emergency care, I authorize Grind Bike & Skate staff to obtain reasonable emergency medical assistance for me or the minor participant listed below. I understand that Grind Bike & Skate is not obligated to provide medical care and that I remain solely financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

I understand that photographs and video recordings may be taken at Grind Bike & Skate for promotional, marketing, social media, or operational purposes. Unless I provide written notice opting out, I grant permission to Grind Bike & Skate to use my or my minor child's image, likeness, voice, and appearance in photographs, videos, livestreams, or promotional materials without compensation.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
In the event of a dispute relating to this agreement or facility use, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith communication and mediation before filing legal action.
If legal action becomes necessary, venue shall lie in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Danville, Virginia.

If any portion of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ACTION SPORTS INVOLVE RISKS. I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, AND I SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY.

I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above-named minor and have authority to sign on their behalf.
