Parent / Legal Guardian Permission & Consent
Fall 2026 Invention Challenge
I, the undersigned, certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above-mentioned Student Participant. I hereby authorize my minor child named above to participate in the Bright Spark event activities for which I have registered him/her. I understand that my minor child must obey all established rules and follow the instructions of the person in charge. By signing this parental consent and liability form, I expressly warrant that my child named above is capable of withstanding both the physical and mental demands associated with any Bright Spark event for which she/he is registered. I also expressly assume all risks to my child's participation in these events.
For purposes of this Permission & Consent Agreement, the Bright Spark Corporate Sponsor is PlayCore Wisconsin, Inc, doing business through its GameTime division.
TEACHER LEADERS: All student's participation is under the direct supervision of a teacher leader coach. The teacher leaders are responsible for ensuring the student teams follow the program's official rules and student oversight.
MEDIA RELEASE: I hereby give Bright Spark, Bright Spark Corporate Sponsor, and their legal representatives and assigns, the right and permission to photograph, digitally record, videotape, or audiotape, my above-named child while they are participating in any Bright Spark event occurring in or out of the Bridge Innovate Studio. Student-created video and presentation submissions may be shared digitally in social media channels by the first name of the student, name of the design, and school. If the student's name or face is shared on the video, it will be published. I further agree that any or all of the recorded material may be used, in any form, in publications, including electronic publications, or in audio-visual presentations, promotional literature, advertising, or in other similar ways, and that such use shall be without payment of fees, royalties, special credit, or other compensation. Except as provided in the “Ownership of the Works” section below, I understand that all such recordings, in whatever medium, shall remain the property of Bright Spark.
JUDGING: Bright Spark will appoint judges and establish rules and scoring criteria for the competition. All judges' decisions shall be final.
OWNERSHIP OF THE WORKS: Participants grant Corporate Sponsor all right, title, and interest in and to ownership of any materials or information related to the designs that the Participants submit in connection with the Bright Spark Fall 2026 Invention Challenge, including, but not limited to, the intellectual property, know-how, sketches, renderings, videos, and prototypes. If Corporate Sponsor elects to pursue intellectual property protection for these materials or information, Participants further agree to execute any documents necessary to confirm or perfect Corporate Sponsor's ownership, including an assignment to Corporate Sponsor. Participants further grant Corporate Sponsor, Bright Spark, and Bridge Innovate organizers the right to publicize that the work resulted from the Bright Spark Fall 2026 Invention Challenge and the school of Participant who created the work.
Bright Spark is merely the host of the competition and assumes no liability for the actions of neither Corporate Sponsor nor Participants.
I have read, understood, and agreed to the information above. All releases, authorizations, and permission granted above shall remain in effect unless revoked in writing by the undersigned to Bridge Innovate, LLC c/o Bridge Innovate Studio, 410 Chickamauga Ave, Ste 400, Rossville GA.
