Reed's 78th Annual Tupelo Christmas Parade Application

This year’s parade theme, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” celebrates the people, places, traditions, and moments that make life in Tupelo wonderful. We invite all participants to showcase their creativity and community pride by bringing their own interpretation of what makes Tupelo a wonderful place to live to life through floats, performances, and design! We are also proud to announce that the CREATE Foundation and Mike Clayborne have been selected as the Grand Marshals of this year’s parade. This year, we recognize the CREATE Foundation’s contributions to the quality of life in Tupelo and North Mississippi, as well as Mike Clayborne’s 30th anniversary as President of CREATE. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO THROWING OF CANDY OR ITEMS DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. DOWNTOWN TUPELO MAIN STREET ASSOCIATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY ENTRY AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO OR DURING THE PARADE.
Parade Script Information: Please provide a brief description of your entry. This information will be used by our announcers during the parade to introduce your float, group or performance to the crowd. Include any special features, theme details, participants you'd like highlighted, as well as any awards, honors, history or interesting facts about your organization. The more information you provide, the better your entry will be promoted when the parade is televised.

Once your application has been received and accepted you will be sent an email confirmation with payment information. Check, Venmo and Credit Card payments are accepted. A link to pay, if you wish to do so by card, will be provided in confirmation email.

Entry Fees are Non-Refundable. Checks should be made to DTMSA. Downtown Tupelo Main Street members and sponsors receive priority placement in the parade lineup.
I have read this complete application and the attached Parade Rules and Regulations link above and I understand all rules as applied to pedestrian, vehicle and float entries, and agree to abide by all rules and regulations including obtaining waiver signatures from all participants. As the undersigned, I agree to function as the primary contact for the above-named entry group and agree to promptly notify Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association (DTMSA) should the contact responsibilities be transferred to another person. I understand that failure to abide by the enclosed rules may disqualify my group from participation. I understand that all fees are non-refundable and that if, for any reason, my group in unable to attend the parade I will notify DTMSA at once as a courtesy to the script and lineup preparation process.
