  • The NDSA is an incorporated society, meaning we have to follow certain rules. To become an Executive for the NDSA, you will need to consent to becoming an Officer. Officers have important duties, such as making good decisions for a society. You can see here if you are qualified to be an Officer under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. Feel free to email us if you have any questions about what it means to be an Officer of a society.

  • Meet the Candidates event

  • We are intending to hold an online Meet the Candidates event on October 15th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Zoom. At this event, you'll be able to get to know and answer some questions from our Voting Members, who decide on our next Executive. 

     

    You are not required to attend this event — we are also happy to pass on to you any questions received from Members on the night, and give you the opportunity to provide answers in writing.

  • The NDSA often deals with sensitive information and vulnerable populations. In 2027, we are seeking to make sure all of our Executives go through a criminal record check if elected. You can learn more about criminal record checks here [Ministry of Justice website].

    We will only undertake a criminal record check if you are elected to a position, and not before elections.
