Monteagle Christmas Tree Trail Contest

Welcome to the Third Annual Monteagle Christmas Tree Trail Decoration Contest.

Deadline to register is Tuesday, November 17. There is no entry fee.

Residents of and visitors to Monteagle will be invited to tour the Tree Trail and sing Christmas Carols Nov. 28, Dec 5, 12, & 19 in Harton Park. The carol singing will be led by area Churches.

We hope the Tree Trail will make Monteagle a destination for people looking for great Christmas lights, bringing new visitors to our town.

So, sign up and put up a tree. The “Best Decorated” tree will receive a $100 cash prize!

If you are one of the first 25 entrants then you are part of the official tree trail.

Requirements for participation
• Live or artificial trees may be used.
• Trees should have safe outdoor LED lights (an electrical outlet will be provided).
• Provide your own labeled, outdoor extension cord.
• Trees must be placed in a sturdy stand which will be securely staked into the ground by town employees.
• Trees must be decorated and delivered to the Fire Hall on Monday, November 23, 2026.
• Winner of Best Decorated Tree will be announced at the “Lighting of the Trees” on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at 5:30pm in Harton Park. The $100 cash prize will also be presented. You must be present to win.

Removal of Trees
• Trees, stands & lights must be removed by participants on January 4 or 5, 2027.
• Any remaining trees or parts will be discarded on January 6, 2027.
