Thank you for your interest in volunteering with God’s Pit Crew! We are honored that you are considering joining us as we bring hope, healing, and restoration to people in times of disaster. We are grateful for your willingness to serve and be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.

Before becoming an active volunteer, your application will be reviewed and God’s Pit Crew, Inc. will conduct a background check as part of our volunteer approval process. Please be patient as we process your application. We will review and approve applications as soon as possible. In the meantime, please be on the lookout for emails from God’s Pit Crew regarding volunteer opportunities and next steps. The safety and well-being of our volunteers, staff, and those we serve are very important to us, and we appreciate your patience as we process your application.

Please note the following age requirements:

Disaster or Rebuild Deployments: Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must complete and sign the appropriate release on the application on behalf of the minor.
Blessing Bucket Projects: Volunteers may be 10 years of age or older, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must complete and sign the appropriate release on the application on behalf of the minor.

Having a criminal record does not necessarily prevent someone from becoming a volunteer. Each application and background check is reviewed individually, and all relevant factors will be considered as part of the approval process.

May we contact you by email and/or text message about volunteer opportunities and important God's Pit Crew information? Please note: Both forms of communication (email & text messages) are sent as group communications through our volunteer messaging systems.

Do you have any interest in participating in disaster response with God's Pit Crew? Teams generally go to a devastated area for several days at a time.

MEDIA CONSENT: I grant permission to God's Pit Crew, Inc., its representatives, partners, and affiliates to photograph, film, or otherwise capture my image, voice, and/or statements—along with those of my child or children (if applicable)—in any format, including video, audio, or digital. I understand these images or recordings may be used in publications, promotional materials, websites, social media, or other media for the purposes of marketing, fundraising, or increasing awareness of the organization's mission. I waive any right to inspect or approve the final product and will not receive compensation. I release all rights, claims, and interests in these materials and understand God's Pit Crew is under no obligation to use them.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I understand that volunteering with God's Pit Crew may involve physical activity, travel, and certain risks. I freely and voluntarily assume all such risks and release God's Pit Crew, Inc., including its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates, from any and all claims or liability for injuries, illnesses, damages, or losses that may occur during or as a result of my volunteer service. This release applies to me and my heirs, executors, and assigns, and is intended to be legally binding and enforceable to the fullest extent allowed by law. I affirm that the information provided is true to the best of my knowledge.

BACKGROUND CHECK: I understand that in the interest of maintaining the safety and security of God's Pit Crew's volunteers, staff, and property, God's Pit Crew will order a "consumer report" (background check) on me in connection with my volunteer application. I also understand that if I am approved to serve or am already volunteering with God's Pit Crew, additional background reports may be ordered to ensure continued safety. I acknowledge that the background check company, Protect My Ministry, will prepare the background check report for God's Pit Crew. I understand that the background report may include, but is not limited to, information such as Social Security Number verification, criminal and public records, driving record checks, certification checks, and criminal history. I authorize God's Pit Crew to obtain and review these background reports as described above.
