The Army Flying Museum provides work experience placements for secondary school, and sixth form/college students to gain practical hands-on experience of working in a museum.

We host up to 2 placements per year, with opportunities to experience all areas of the Museum’s work including reception, archive/curatorial, cafe, and education.

You will learn about all the different areas of work here at the Museum and spend time shadowing and assisting the members of our team, learning about the roles and careers available, and you will undertake practical experience to develop your skills.

Typical placements follow a Monday – Friday 10am-3pm structure unless stated otherwise.

Please note that we are unable to offer work experience placements in July.

All successful applicants will be notified if we are able to host you on the dates requested.
