• 7XL ROPING COMPANY

  • Welcome to 7XL Roping Company. Our membership brings together people who enjoy roping, want to improve their horsemanship, and value a respectful community where horses, cattle, and people are treated well.

    Membership is $300 per month.

    Live Cattle Roping Practice
We rope three times per week. Our tentative schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

35000 N. Bell Rd., Queen Creek Az. 85142

Practice sessions depend on weather, cattle availability, arena conditions, and ranch scheduling. Sessions may be adjusted or canceled to protect livestock and maintain safe conditions.

    Dummy Practice
Membership also includes access to scheduled dummy practice, currently offered two nights per week. Equipment may include a roping dummy, dummy drag, and other ranch training equipment. Dummy practice days and times will be communicated separately.

Our Core Values and Member Expectations

    • Respect one another. Treat fellow members, guests, staff, and volunteers with courtesy. Bullying, intimidation, harassment, and disruptive behavior have no place at 7XL.
    • Put animal welfare first. Treat horses and cattle with patience and respect. Follow ranch instructions regarding livestock handling, cattle rotation, and safe practice.
    • Help each other improve. Encourage fellow members, support developing ropers, and contribute to an environment where people can learn and build confidence.
    • Make safety everyone’s responsibility. Ride within your ability, use appropriate horses and properly maintained tack, follow arena rules, and report hazards or injuries promptly.
    • Care for the ranch and equipment. Use practice equipment responsibly, report damage immediately, pick up after yourself, and leave shared spaces better than you found them.
    • Uphold the 7XL standard. Act with integrity, take responsibility for yourself and your guests, and help maintain an environment free of alcohol and illegal drugs.

Please review the full membership agreement before completing and signing the form. This page provides an overview; the agreement contains the complete membership terms and ranch policies.

  • 2 Membership & payment terms

  • Membership is personal, subject to 7XL approval, and begins October 1, 2026 (or later upon approval and payment). Roping-only membership is $300 per month, paid in advance on the 1st. It includes access to scheduled live-cattle practices (currently three evenings weekly), scheduled dummy practices (currently two evenings weekly), and designated arena access when available. It does NOT include boarding, horse care, horse use or lease, lessons, clinics, jackpots, trailer storage, veterinary services, or transportation. Additional services require separate approval and payment. Cattle, arena, equipment and practice availability are subject to weather, animal welfare, maintenance, events and operational needs; a particular number of runs is not guaranteed.

Member authorizes recurring charges to the payment method separately and securely provided to 7XL or its payment processor; this signed agreement does not collect card or bank account numbers. Charges are due the 1st; payments not received by the end of the 5th incur a $75 late fee. If unpaid after the 15th, privileges may be suspended or membership terminated. Member must keep payment details current and pay actual returned-payment charges. Monthly dues are not prorated or refunded for nonuse, vacations, horse or rider illness, or ordinary temporary closures. Any recurring price change requires at least 30 days' written notice.

Membership renews month-to-month. Member may cancel by giving 30 days' written notice; charges remain due through the effective cancellation date. 7XL may suspend or terminate for nonpayment, unsafe behavior, animal mistreatment, serious misconduct, or repeated rule violations; serious safety threats may require immediate removal. Accrued charges and provisions intended to survive termination remain effective.

  • 3 Horse, rider, guest & facility responsibilities

  • Member must bring a suitable, healthy, controllable horse; has authority from its owner to ride and rope on it; and is responsible for its condition, tack, loading, transportation, supervision, veterinary care and expenses. Disclose known dangerous behavior, contagious disease or restrictions before arrival. 7XL may refuse or remove any horse or rider for safety or welfare. No horse may be left unattended or boarded overnight without a separate written arrangement. Members must use designated parking/loading areas, drive no more than 10 mph, keep gates closed, clean up manure and trash, and report damage, injuries or hazards immediately. Only authorized staff may operate tractors, arena drags and other ranch machinery.

Membership covers only the named member. No substitute rider, shared membership or guest participation in riding, roping, handling horses or cattle without advance 7XL approval and that participant's own signed release. Spectators and children must stay in approved areas; minors require responsible adult supervision. No outside lessons or commercial training without written approval. Dogs require advance approval and must remain controlled.

  • THE 7XL STANDARD

  • Build Great Horses. Build Great Horsemen. Build Lasting Friendships.
  • 4 Code of conduct & arena rules

  • 7XL is a family-oriented community grounded in integrity, humility, hard work, respect and sportsmanship. Encourage other ropers, welcome beginners, congratulate good runs, offer coaching only when invited, resolve disagreements privately, and leave ego and drama at the gate. No bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, excessive profanity, discrimination, theft, vandalism, illegal drugs, alcohol, animal abuse or reckless behavior. Treat members, staff, horses, cattle and facilities with respect. Leave the ranch better than you found it.

Follow the Practice Coordinator's run order and instructions. Be saddled and ready; enter only when directed, release one steer at a time unless instructed otherwise, maintain control and safe distance, and clear the active area promptly. Do not cut the line or rope cattle outside authorized sessions. Keep gates closed, return equipment, help with cattle and cleanup when requested, and report injured or fatigued stock. A coordinator may pause practice or remove an unsafe rider, horse or steer.

Livestock welfare comes first: rope only the assigned steer; if the header misses, the heeler does not throw. If one horn is caught, release the steer promptly when safe; if the header releases a one-horn catch, the heeler must release a thrown rope. Do not drag, excessively stretch, jerk, whip or overwork cattle; release pressure and safely free any fallen or entangled animal. Never rope cattle in alleys or holding pens. Use required horn wraps. Never abuse or repeatedly punish a horse, especially in the box. Ride within horse and rider ability; stop when either becomes unsafe.

  • 5 Express assumption of risk & release of liability — READ CAREFULLY

  • I understand that riding, roping, working cattle, handling, loading and unloading horses, arena use and ranch activities involve inherent and other risks, including unpredictable horse/cattle behavior, kicks, bites, bucking, falls, rope entanglement, collisions, uneven or slippery footing, fences, vehicles, equipment, weather, heat and actions of others. Serious injury, permanent disability, death, horse injury/death and property loss can result even when reasonable care is used. I voluntarily participate, acknowledge these risks, am willing and able to accept responsibility for my own safety and welfare, and agree to use judgment appropriate to my skills and horse. I will disclose material limitations and will not participate when impaired or conditions are unsafe.

To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, I RELEASE AND DISCHARGE 7XL Roping Company, 7XL Ranch, their owners, operators, employees, managers, agents, volunteers and representatives (Released Parties) from claims arising from my participation, including claims based on ordinary negligence, personal injury, death, property loss and injury or death of my horse. This release does not apply to gross negligence, willful, wanton or intentional acts or omissions, failure to disclose a known or reasonably knowable hazardous condition where applicable, or any liability that cannot lawfully be released. I acknowledge Arizona Revised Statutes § 12-553 and understand its protections are subject to statutory conditions and exceptions. This release is intended to be signed BEFORE I take control of any horse furnished or assigned by an owner or agent.

I am responsible for my own horse, tack, vehicle, trailer and property, including insurance and veterinary expenses. 7XL does not insure them. If my acts, omissions, horse or unauthorized guest cause third-party claims or property damage, I agree, to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify the Released Parties for losses attributable to my conduct, excluding losses attributable to their own negligence or misconduct. I will promptly report incidents and cooperate with reasonable documentation. No provision waives rights that Arizona law does not permit to be waived.

  • 6 Emergency authorization

  • If I am injured or incapacitated, I authorize 7XL to call emergency responders and share necessary contact information; I remain responsible for my medical costs. If my horse has an apparent emergency and I cannot be reached promptly, I authorize 7XL to contact a veterinarian and arrange reasonable emergency care or transport at my expense, without guaranteeing that care or transport is available.
