Thank you for your interest in the Survivors Shaping Services Network: Family Law Legal Aid Service Experiences Focus Group. We are hosting focus groups to gather input on the family law legal aid service experiences of survivors of intimate partner and family violence. 

The focus groups are open to survivors of intimate partner or family violence who have accessed or interacted with BC’s family law legal aid system within the last five years. 

Three online focus groups are scheduled. We invite you to sign up for and participate in one focus group.

Focus group #1: Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, 6:30- 8:00 pm 
Focus group #2: Tuesday, October 20th, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Focus group #3: Monday, October 26th, 12:30 - 2:00 pm

Focus group #4: Thursday, October 29th, 10:30 - 12:00 pm  

Participation honorarium: Focus group participants will receive $130 in honoraria with childcare support included in this amount. To receive honoraria, participants must attend the entire focus group.

We practise a trauma-informed approach. Optional aftercare support is available to all participants, including up to two one-on-one sessions with a registered clinical cousellor who supports this initiative.
