Where: Meet at the NIA Starkweather House parking lot (1773 Huntington Tpke, Trumbull)
Time: We'll be busy all day, and welcome volunteers for any amount of time between 9AM-3PM. NIA leaders will be available to sign off on your volunteer hours
Equipment: Please bring work gloves, and water bottles to keep hydrated.
Optional tools: Rakes, hoes, mattocks, shovels, hand pruners, loppers, and trowels will all be useful.
Light snacks will be provided, and bathrooms are available at the Starkweather House.
Volunteers will be working across our 42-acre property to improve the community park:
- Clearing litter & maintaining hiking trails
- Removing invasive plants & planting flower bulbs
- Updating trail markers & installing new signs
- Improving walking paths with fresh groundcover
Please share this opportunity with your friends, neighbors, and anyone who would be interested in contributing. The more helping hands we have, the bigger impact we can have on our trails, gardens, and greenspace.
