2026 Trunk or Treat in the Village Application

This is a fun and family-friendly Halloween event where decorated vehicles will distribute candy to children and families throughout the evening. This event is open to local community organizations, businesses, entertainers, nonprofits, families, and festive friends to participate. Click here for more event details!

Please note: that submitting this application does not guarantee participation. Space is limited, and all entries will be reviewed by the Peddler’s Village team. Approved participants will be contacted by email with additional event details, arrival instructions, and setup information.

Trunk-or-Treat Lane:

Participating trunks will remain stationary in the designated parking area behind the Visitor & Event Center while families stroll through Trunk-or-Treat Lane collecting candy and voting for the Best Decorated Trunk. Additional trick-or-treat stations may be located throughout the Village neighborhoods and participating shops.

Trunk-or-Treat Participant Requirements:
To ensure a safe, organized, and family-friendly experience, all participants must agree to the following requirements:

• Vehicles must be parked and remain stationary for the duration of the event.
• Participants must arrive during the assigned setup window (3pm-4:30pm) and ready to serve by 4:30pm.
• Vehicles may not leave the event area until released by Peddler’s Village staff.
• Only individually wrapped, store-bought candy or treats may be distributed.
• No homemade food, unpackaged candy, or open food items may be handed out.
• No open flames, candles, fireworks, smoke effects, or hazardous decorations are permitted.
• Decorations, costumes, music, and themes must be family-friendly.
• Scary themes are welcome, but displays should not be overly graphic, violent, or inappropriate for young children.
• Participants are responsible for providing their own decorations, candy, tables, signage, costumes, and setup materials.
• Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
• Participants must follow all instructions from Peddler’s Village staff before, during, and after the event.
• All entries must be family friendly. Peddler’s Village reserves the right to deem entries offensive, controversial, inappropriate or poorly constructed and may remove entries based on guest complaints or damage.

Best Decorated Trunk Contest:

Approved trunk participants will automatically be eligible for our Best Decorated Trunk Contest, unless they choose not to participate. Winners will recieve Peddler's Village Dining & Lodging Gift Cards. Categories include:

• Most Spooktacular Trunk
• Best Family-Friendly Theme
• Most Creative Design
