    •      Meals outside the retreat program, laundry, tips and personal spending

    3. Aerial yoga
The venue has a limited number of aerial hammocks, so aerial yoga places are limited and allocated in the order bookings are made. If demand is high, classes may be run in smaller staggered groups, which may change session times. Classes are held in the rooftop shala (weather permitting) or the enclosed air-conditioned shala. Aerial yoga is optional, and no refund or discount applies if you choose not to take part. Aerial yoga may not be suitable for people with certain health conditions or during pregnancy (see section 9).

    4. Rooms and room sharing
    •      Private prices are for one person in a room. The Seaview Villas and Deluxe Pool View Villas can also be shared by two people. The Bungalow is private only.

    •      Shared rooms must be booked by two people together, so you will know who you are sharing with. We do not match guests who book on their own.

    •      If one person in a shared room cancels, the remaining person becomes responsible for the full private room rate. The person who cancels is subject to the cancellation policy in section 7.

    •      Seaview and Deluxe Pool View Villas are available as ground floor air-conditioned rooms or first/upper floor open-air rooms. Room requests are passed on to the venue but cannot be guaranteed.

    •      Rooms are subject to availability and are confirmed once your deposit is received.

    5. Early bird offer
Book and pay your deposit on or before 28 February 2027 to receive $300 off per person. The discount is taken off your balance. It cannot be combined with any other offer and does not apply to add-ons. Any promotions we run later do not apply to bookings already made. Early bird bookings follow the same cancellation policy as all other bookings.

    6. Payment
    •      A deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your place. Your place is not confirmed until it is paid.

    •      Paying in full: the balance must be paid within 30 days of booking.

    •      Payment plan: you can pay the balance in fortnightly or monthly instalments by direct debit, finishing 30 days before the retreat. A payment plan admin fee of $80 per person applies.

    •      All prices are in Australian dollars.

    •      If a payment fails, we will contact you to update your details. If we do not hear back from you, or a payment is not made after a reminder, your place may be cancelled and the cancellation policy will apply.

    •      We will send payment reminders, but it is your responsibility to pay on time and keep your card details up to date.

    7. Cancellations and changes
If you cancel. Cancellations must be made in writing by email.

    •      Before 24 January 2027: full refund, less any transaction fees

    •      Before 24 April 2027: 50% refund

    •      Before 24 July 2027: 25% refund

    •      On or after 24 July 2027: no refund

Transfers. You may transfer your place to another person at no charge, provided they accept these terms, sign the waiver and are notified to us at least 14 days before the retreat. If we are able to fill your place from our waitlist, we may offer a higher refund, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Missed sessions. No refunds or credits are given for unused accommodation, meals, sessions or activities, or if you arrive late or leave early.

If we cancel. If Yoga Tribe cancels the retreat for a reason within our control, you will receive a full refund of all money paid to us. If the retreat is cancelled due to an event outside our control (see section 13), we will refund any amounts we can recover from suppliers or offer a credit towards a future retreat. We are not responsible for flights, visas, insurance or other costs you have arranged yourself, which is why travel insurance is compulsory.

Changes to the program. Activities and timings may change due to weather, sea conditions, supplier availability, group size or safety. We will replace any cancelled activity with a suitable alternative where reasonably possible.

    8. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. We recommend buying it as soon as you pay your deposit so you are covered for cancellation. Your policy must cover:

    •      Cancellation and curtailment for reasons covered by your policy

    •      Overseas medical treatment, hospitalisation and emergency evacuation

    •      The activities you plan to do, including surfing if you are booking lessons

You will be asked for your insurer and policy number before the retreat. Medical facilities near Talalla are limited, and serious injuries may require transfer to a larger hospital at your cost.

    9. Health, fitness and pregnancy
    •      The retreat is suitable for most levels of fitness and yoga experience, and options will be given in every class.

    •      You must tell us in writing of any medical condition, injury, medication or allergy that may affect your participation, both when you book and if anything changes before the retreat.

    •      Please see your doctor before travelling about your fitness to take part and about travel health for Sri Lanka, including vaccinations and protection against mosquito-borne illness such as dengue.

    •      If you are pregnant, please let us know when booking and get clearance from your doctor. Some activities, including aerial yoga and surfing, may not be suitable during pregnancy.

    •      You take part in all sessions and activities at your own risk and within your own limits.

    10. Dietary requirements
Please tell us about any dietary requirements or food allergies when you book. The venue will do its best to cater for them, but a completely allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed. Vegetarian and vegan meals are available.

    11. Travel, visas and arrival
    •      You are responsible for booking your own flights and transfers to and from Talalla. Room check-in is from 2pm on Sunday 26 September 2027, and departure is after breakfast on Friday 1 October 2027.

    •      We recommend you do not book flights until your place is confirmed, and that you book flights you can change.

    •      You are responsible for holding a passport valid for at least six months after your travel dates and for obtaining a Sri Lanka ETA or visa before you travel. Check the current rules at the official Sri Lankan ETA website before booking flights.

    •      The retreat takes place at the end of the southwest monsoon season. Expect warm weather with some rain and occasionally strong ocean conditions. We will send a packing list closer to the date.

    12. Conduct
    •      Please treat fellow guests, teachers, venue staff and local people with respect, and follow the venue's rules.

    •      Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered) when visiting temples and religious sites, and follow local customs.

    •      Illegal drugs are not permitted. Please drink alcohol responsibly and not before yoga, aerial yoga, swimming or surfing.

    •      We may ask anyone whose behaviour puts the safety or enjoyment of others at risk to leave the retreat, without a refund.

    13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics or public health orders, government actions or travel advisories, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, or the failure of airlines or other independent providers. If such an event affects the retreat, we will keep you informed and act in line with section 7.

    14. Third-party providers
Accommodation, meals and some activities (including surfing, safari, e-bike tours, treatments and transfers) are provided by Talalla Retreat or other independent operators, not by Yoga Tribe. They are subject to those providers' own terms. We choose providers carefully but are not responsible for their acts or omissions, to the extent permitted by law.

    15. Liability and waiver
Every guest must read and sign the Yoga Tribe Release and Waiver of Liability before the retreat. Nothing in these terms or the waiver excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

    16. Photos and privacy
    •      We may take photos and videos during the retreat for Yoga Tribe's website and social media. If you would prefer not to appear, just tell us at booking or on the day and we will respect that.

    •      The personal and health information you give us is used only to run the retreat and keep you safe. It will be shared with the venue and providers only where necessary and will not be sold or used for any other purpose.

    17. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or concern before or during the retreat, please speak to Nadia or the venue directly. Contact: nadia@yogatribelife.com or 0418 341 245.

    18. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest continue to apply. We may update these terms before you book; the version in place when you pay your deposit applies to your booking.
