You are invited to apply for the Downtown Santa Cruz Makers Market brought to you by the SCM Makers Market. The market will be held on the 1100 block of Pacific Ave. between Cathcart St. and Lincoln St. That section of Pacific Ave. will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event. Market hours are 10am-5pm. This market will feature the work of artists & crafters. Full vendor information will be provided by email 7-10 days before the market. Please understand that categories have limited availability.
ELIGIBILITY: All participants should make their own work. No resale. No imports. All artists, crafters & cottage food (packaged) who live in Santa Cruz County and neighboring counties are invited to apply. Applicants must have a valid seller's permit and/or health permit (food) for the state of California. Vendors are responsible for their own sales, collecting sales tax, and reporting to the BOE.
BOOTH FEES & SIZES: 10x8 ft. spaces - $130. All booth spaces are approximately 10'(frontage)x8'(deep). NO 10x10 or 8x8 canopies are permitted. Canopies smaller than 8x8 and market umbrellas are optional but recommended.
BOOTH SET-UP: All booths will be setup on the day of the market. Set-up begins at 9:00am and everyone must be ready to sell by 10am. Vehicle access to your booth space will be available in the morning for set-up but may not be available for load out. Please be prepared to carry your setup out. Hand carts are NOT provided. Please bring your own cart or dolly. Market umbrellas are not required but are highly recommended. Please bring weights for your umbrella. Vendors must provide their own table, chair, umbrella, and weights. NO 10x10 or 8x8 canopies are permitted.
RULES/GUIDELINES: All state and county health guidelines will be followed. These are subject to change.
ADVERTISING: The Downtown Makers Market will be advertised heavily throughout Santa Cruz county. Local media ads, signs, flyers, postcards, and social media/web advertising is planned. Vendors will be listed on our website.
WEATHER/NATURAL DISASTER POLICY: This is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, the market may be postponed at the organizer's discretion. There will likely be a rain date to the following Sunday but this is not guaranteed. There will be no refunds for cancellation due to weather, natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances.
VENDOR CANCELLATION: Vendors can cancel their space up to 3 weeks before the market date for a refund with a cancellation fee of $10. Cancellations made with less then 3 weeks notice will not be issued a refund.
