Terms and conditions
This competition is promoted by Forbidden Planet International ("the Promoter"). For any queries relating to this competition, please contact katelyn.fouladgar@forbiddenplanet.co.uk. Entry is open to customers physically attending the Forbidden Planet Middlesbrough Birthday Event on 3rd October 2026 during normal store opening hours (9:30am to 6:00pm). Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Forbidden Planet International, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible to enter.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win this competition.
Entry is made by drawing a birthday card in store, taking a photo of it and submitting it in store. Only one entry per person is permitted; duplicate entries may be disqualified. Entries must be submitted on the day of the event; entries received before or after the event will not be accepted.
One winner will receive a copy of Wednesday Comics (2025 Edition) signed by Dan Didio. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged, and no cash alternative will be offered. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value if necessary.
Entries will be judged by Forbidden Planet Middlesbrough representatives based on creativity, originality, and overall presentation. The best birthday card, as chosen by the judges, will win. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be announced in person at the event on 3rd October 2026, or contacted using the details provided at the time of entry if not present at the time of announcement. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 48 hours of initial notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
By entering the competition, participants agree that if they win, their first name and/or social media handle may be used in announcements relating to the promotion, including on social media and email communications.
Personal data submitted as part of this competition will be used solely for the administration of the prize draw. The legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract (the competition entry). Data will not be used for marketing purposes unless the entrant has separately opted in. All personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to administer the competition and will be handled in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not properly received due to technical or other issues. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
This competition and these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
